How has the landscape of Melrose changed over time? How can you use digital map collections to investigate the history of a house, a neighborhood, or a city? How can the stories of places open up new perspectives on the past and present?

Join the Melrose Public Library, Historic Melrose, and the Leventhal Map & Education Center at the Boston Public Library for an exploration of historic maps of Melrose, focused on the newly-available Melrose maps in the Leventhal Center’s Atlascope digital tool.

We’ll look at Melrose up close, answer questions in an interactive Q&A, and offer resources for further research with maps and geography.
