Anne and Lisa will be talking about Anne’s latest novel, The Macdonalds of Cedar Park. 
Anne Macdonald is a writer with deep New England roots. Her current book is inspired by members of her rather ordinary, Melrose based family, involved in some of the extraordinary events of WWII, including the Manhattan Project and the 10th Mountain Division. Based on real letters from an ordinary American family, this is not a story about generals or battles. It is about what happens to a family when the world is at war and demands everything, and the government demands their silence.

About Anne Macdonald: A. E. Macdonald has written a fictionalized version of her family during WWII, titled The Macdonalds of Cedar Park. Under the name Anne Macdonald, she is the author of two mystery stories, Deadlines are Murder and Weddings are Murder with the third, TRIALS ARE MURDER, in development. Writing since the age of 10, she wrote her first short story inspired by her love of history and mystery, featuring spies from the American Revolution. Her love of history led her to a BA with a focus in History and an MA in Public History. Her active imagination and the love of a good story inspire her novels and short stories. She and her husband live in Melrose and enjoy the beach any time of year and traveling to new places for adventure as well as research.
