Adult Summer Reading 2023
Summer reading isn’t just for kids!
Starting Tuesday, June 20, stop by the library to pick up your Summer Reading Bingo sheet! Get a BINGO by reading and doing various activities then return your sheet to the Main Desk by Friday, August 11. If you are extra ambitious, pick up a second BINGO sheet and do more reading and activities (limit 2 sheets). For every completed BINGO sheet, your name will be entered for a chance to win the Grand Summer Prize!
Looking for some reading guidance? This summer, check out a Staff Pick title. Rotating titles will be on display in the library, or request a title through the catalog!
This summer, Find Your Voice through exploring your family history! Take advantage of three virtual events that will help get you on track to do your own genealogical research:
- Getting Started in Genealogy with Hallie Kirchner – Wednesday, June 28 at 7:00 PM
- Expanding Your Family Stories with Kim Kerrigan – Wednesday, July 19 at 7:00 PM
- DNA & Genealogy with Seema-Jayne Kenney – Wednesday, August 9 at 7:00 PM
Get crafty this summer using Creativebug – and cross off a BINGO square! If you haven’t done so already, use your library card and PIN to create your own account for free.
Starting Monday, July 10, register online for your Creativebug Take & Make Tissue Paper Pompoms kit to make your own tissue paper pompoms at home.
Kits are limited; one per person. Registrants may pick up kits starting Monday, July 17. Each kit contains sign up information with a link to the Creativebug online class and materials to make two tissue paper pompoms (no physical directions will be included).
If you would like to try the craft with your own materials, the class can always be accessed through Creativebug!
