MPL Teen Room

Welcome to the Melrose Public Library Teen Room!

The Teen Room is a space for teens ages 11-18 to use library computers and Wi-Fi,
study and visit with friends, and browse the Young Adult collection.


Programs

Teen Tuesdays

On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, join us for creative and bookish programs for teens ages 11-18! Registration required.

November 4th: Cozy Reading Club, register online.

November 18th: Craft & Chat: Mini Clay Pies, register online.

Teen Study Space

NEW: On Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-5pm, teens ages 11-18 can use the Youth Services Program Room for quiet studying, reading, or quiet group project work. Drop-in, stay for a chunk of time or the entire session. No registration necessary!

Book Displays

Stop by the Teen Room in October to see our displays for:

  • Scream Worthy Reads (horror, thriller, mystery, and spooky selections)
  • Celebrating Native American Heritage Month (books by and/or about Indigenous peoples)
  • Start a New Manga or Graphic Novel Series! (the first book of popular graphic novel series)

Wondering about Teen Community Service?  Local teens have the opportunity to earn some of their community service hours at the library. Learn more on our teen volunteering page. Registration is required for all teen volunteer sessions.
