Black History Month Books for Kids – Work and Labor

Celebrate Black History Month and its 2025 theme, “African Americans and Labor,” with great books from the Children’s Room focusing on the various and profound ways that work and working of all kinds intersect with the collective experiences of Black people (ASALH). Black people’s work has been transformational throughout the U.S., Africa, and the Diaspora, and this year’s theme seeks to highlight and celebrate the potent impact of this work. These are wonderful books to read this month and all year!

This feedback will be a big help as we continue to add fun programs, books and other collections, and additional kid-friendly items to our beautiful new Children’s Room, with input and necessary approvals from the Board of Trustees, along with the financial support of the Friends.
